We regularly add to our class offering.
Our customer support team is at your disposal. Together you can familiarize yourself with all of the classes and create a personalized class plan. To do so, you can this by sending an email describing your personal concerns to support@kinderheldin.de.
If you would like to participate in a class that is unfortunately not taking place during your free trial period, please feel free to write to our support team. We'll provide you with the latest class recording so that you can get an idea of what we offer and get started.
Both the live and video class are led by experts, such as midwives, physiotherapists, childcare workers, and psychologists.
No. The classes have no maximum number of participants. So you're sure to always get a spot and can join at any time!
Most of our live classes are recorded for class participants, so you can watch them afterwards. They are only accessible up to 7 days after the class date, and you'll need to enter an individual password. This requires class registration.
You will receive a link to the recording within 24/7ours after the class has ended.
Classes with especially sensitive content and intimate interactions are not recorded.
Log in as you normally would and click on "My Classes." There you can:
Find a calendar overview with all classes
View class information and book a class
Please note that you can only book future classes, not past classes. Once you have selected and booked a class, you'll receive an email with a confirmation.
Sometimes our messages get lost in the spam folder. Maybe this also happened in your case?

Yes, you can test the Kinderheldin membership for 7 days free of charge. During this trial week you can take part in all live courses and use the midwife consultation.
After the 7 days, the membership starts automatically.
Your membership ends automatically after the selected period (1 month, 6 months or 1 year) and will not be renewed. You do not have to cancel your membership. You can not pause within this period.
You will find the link to the invoice in your order confirmation. For each new month of membership, you will also receive a new invoice. Please note that the invoice is created automatically and cannot be changed afterwards.
You go to the calendar and select the date, then select the time on the left-hand side of the screen. Then the "confirm" field opens automatically. Once you have confirmed this, you will then fill in all the relevant information. The midwife receives this and then forwards it to the health insurance provider.
Midwife Consultation
To receive a consultation from a midwife via chat, first log in to the Members area. There you will find the option for booking a consultation under "My Classes," beneath the list of classes being offered.
Yes. All our midwives are certified and have several years of professional experience. They are all members of the German Midwives Association (Deutschen Hebammenverband).
Our midwives are there for you every day between 7am and 10pm - even on weekends and holidays.
In order to guarantee you the best possible advice and reliable availability, we are currently not yet available around the clock. However, based on our experience so far, we are there for you when the benefit is the greatest, so mainly in the evenings, weekends, and holidays. However, at any time it is possible for you to book an appointment during our available hours (between 7am and 10pm daily).
Our midwives will contact you within a few minutes. If you have chosen a phone call, you do not need to do anything else - our midwife will call you back on the phone number provided to them within 15 minutes.
If you have booked a live chat, write your first question in the chat window. We will then see your inquiry and get back to you within a few minutes.
Our midwives give you all the time you need to address your concerns, even per chat. Experience shows that the vast majority of concerns can be addressed in a matter of minutes. But don't worry, important and/or urgent questions may sometimes take longer. We do not abruptly stop chats mid-conversation! :)
If you have booked within our opening hours, the chat will automatically open in your browser. In addition, we sent you an email where you will find the direct link to the chat. Just click on it and you're good to go. As soon as you send us a message in the chat, we will see your request and get back to you within a short time.
If you book outside of opening hours, we will also send you an email. Then just click on the link for the previously selected appointment and write your question in the chat.
The individual selection of a specific midwife is not possible at the moment, as this would prevent us from always being able to respond to incoming requests as quickly as possible. However, all of our midwives provide advice that is consistent with the same high standards and quality requirements. However, as we are continuously developing the service, we will at a later stage see if it is possible and useful to offer this option.
If you book outside our opening hours, which are currently between 7am and 10pm each day, you are free to choose a session that will take place during our opening hours. We will then contact you at the time you requested. Within our opening hours you can simply book a consultation when you have the time: We will be there for you in just a few minutes.
When it comes to urgent and general questions about pregnancy, the postpartum period, and maternal and child health, our midwives are intended to be the first point of contact for expectant mothers and parents of babies. Our goal is to provide advice and support to (expectant) parents. Nevertheless, Kinderheldin is not a substitute for a doctor or an emergency room - in urgent cases, you should of course go to one of these options immediately. Midwives cannot and should not provide medical diagnoses and treatments.
Medical Insurance Coverage
Yes, there are health insurance providers that are Kinderheldin's cooperation partners and that will cover the costs of Kinderheldin's online midwife consultations . You can easily check if your health insurance is among these partners by clicking on Home > Reimbursement (at the bottom of the page) and entering your insurance info. Our Kinderheldin membership is so far only covered by mhplus insurance. If you are not insured by one of the health insurance providers mentioned above, you would have to pay for the Kinderheldin membership yourself. If you would like to attend a birth preparation or postpartum exercise class that is covered by your public health insurance, you can join our wait list for standard public healthcare here. We will then refer you to a midwife. Once you are on the waiting list, you will receive date and time suggestions based on your child's estimated due date or birthday. Please note that the demand is very high right now and you should expect a wait. The midwife will then bill your health insurance provider directly.
