Whether you are a new mother or want to support one, this online course will teach you everything you need to know about breastfeeding and breastfeeding. Together we will help you achieve your breastfeeding goals and find the perfect breastfeeding position for you and your baby. We know that starting and improving breastfeeding is not always easy, so we will give you support and theoretical knowledge that you can implement in your everyday life.
Maggie is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and has lots of experience working with new mums and babies. She will teach you everything you need to know and help you overcome any problems you may encounter.
If you are an expectant mother, you can also join this online course and benefit from the experiences of other mothers.

Our birth breastfeeding class with Lactation Consultant Maggie takes place once a week. If you`re unable to attend one of the sessions, you are welcome to do your exercises on another day by simply using the recordings.

Lactation Consultant Maggie
Maggie is not only an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, but also a Registered Dietitian. She has over 20 years of experience helping families reach their infant feeding goals. It's her goal to provide families with the confidence and tools they need for success with breastfeeding.

The course instructors respond empathetically and individually to the participants' questions, the course content is very precisely tailored to the pre- and postnatal needs of the families and really addresses all the questions that arise, and the wide range of courses is great.

Frequently asked questions
Breastfeeding has a lot of benefits for you and your baby. Not only is breast milk perfectly designed for your baby, but it also helps protect your child against long-term and short-term illnesses and diseases. Breastfeeding can also prevent infections.
More benefits are:
stronger emotional relationship between you and your baby
mostly available whenever your baby is hungry
lower risk of health issues for yourself e.g. diabetes and breast cancer
all needed nutritions for your baby
While breastfeeding your should avoid:
alcohol
fish
caffein
some herbal supplements like peppermint, parsley and sage (ask your midwife)
Most women exclusively breastfeed their child up to 6 months. Then it's recommended to introduce your baby to complementary foods (Solids) while breastfeeding.
To be safe, you should avoid drinking alcohol if you want to breastfeed. But it's known that up to 1 drink per day is not harmful to the baby. But you should wait about 2 to 3 hours before breastfeeding your baby. If you drink more, your should also wait longer.
